Description:
Perform general/routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards. Can be assigned to assist with the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, storage areas, and employee break room. Ability to visually inspect cleanliness, ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 75 lbs. Must have availability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and/or holidays. Also, must be able to work on one's feet for long period of time.

REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience in the Culinary field; +2 years of fine dining experience; Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset; Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities; Highly responsible & reliable; Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment; Ability to work cohesively as part of a team; Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times; must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Cut, trim, bone, tie and grind meats, such as beef, pork, poultry and fish to prepare meat in cooking forms. Estimate requirements and order or requisition meat supplies to maintain inventories. Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery to ensure meat quality. Record quality of meat received and issue to cooks and/or keep records of meat sales. Negotiate with representatives from supply companies to determine order details. Ability to stand and walk continuously to perform essential job functions for duration of shift.

Stewarding Manager
Description:
To maintain a sanitary environment for food and beverage preparation and storage as well as provide clean serviceware and utensils for the entire food and beverage operation. Select, train, schedule, supervise and counsel all members of stewarding department in accordance with established standards for safety, productivity and performance. Delegate dish and equipment washing and silver polishing activities. Direct staff in maintaining the cleanliness of the back of the house areas, which include; main kitchen, storage areas, employees cafeteria, and warewashing areas. Manage general cleaning schedule so that the food service areas meet or exceed the health inspection requirements. Maintain the inventory and coordinate the distribution of all big four items: china, glassware, and silver which also includes visual inspection to ensure cleanliness and safe transportation. Control the equipment storage areas and the issuance of equipment for the Food Service department. This includes maintaining the cleanliness of house kitchen equipment, i.e., stoves, refrigerators, ovens, icemakers, walkins, dish machines, etc. Organize and conduct preshift and departmental meetings to advise staff of forecasted expectations. Attend other relevant meetings. Ability to visually inspect cleanliness. Ability to count serviceware during Big Four inventory. Ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 500 lbs. Ability to grasp, hold and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs. Ability to read and speak basic English so as to fully comprehend job requests, caution notices, event orders and similar written materials. Ability to retrieve items from 8" shelves. Ability to stand and move throughout the facility for long periods of time, eight hours or more and continuously perform essential job functions. Must have 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in a kitchen environment. High school diploma required.

Escort arriving and departing guests in a friendly manner to and from their accommodations, transporting their luggage, and acquaint each guest with room and features. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. Requires physical stamina to stand, lift, carry, and walk continuously for duration of shift. Answer internal and external telephone calls in a friendly and courteous manner, direct calls through the hotel switchboard. Input wake up calls and messages into the system, retrieve messages as requested. Actively coordinate communications within the hotel including emergency procedures, alarms, life safety, natural disaster, and shuttle van services, acting as a liaison to all appropriate local Emergency Services. Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to work 3rd shift, as well as weekends & holidays.
